Q1. To which board is the school affiliated?
Ans. The School follows 10+2 system of education and is affiliated to the COUNCIL FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION, NEW DELHI.

Q2. Where is the school situated?
Ans. The school takes pride in being situated in the green lap of Dehra Dun, the Education Capital of India, located 240 km north-east of Delhi just 2300 ft. above sea level. The great Himalayas, the beautiful Shivaliks, the Holy Ganges and Jamuna make the four boundaries of this elegant valley.

Q3. How can we reach the school?
Ans. Dehradun is well connected to Delhi by: air, railways and road. The School is: 15 Kms. from the Airport, 06 Kms. from the Rialway Station and I.S.Bus Terminus. For local transport to the School taxis are always available. Click here to see location map.

Q4. What is the eligibility for Registration ?
Ans. The registration for a particular class will be based on the age of the child, and the class he/she has passed previously. For play group the minimum age is 3 years. For class I the child should be 5 years by 31st March of the preceding academic session.

Q5. When and where can we get the Registration Form and School Prospectus and what are the procedures for Registration ?
Ans. The form for APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION may be procured from school office, filled and signed by the legal Parent and submitted along with the Registration fee of Rs.500/- (U.S. $ 100/- for N.R.I./Foreign Student) in cash / DD, and self attested photo copies of the following documents:- 1) Child’s Birth Certificate (attested photocopy) issued by: Nursing Home and endorsed by Registered Medical Practitioner or Municipal Corporation or Secretary (Govt. Official) Village ‘Panchayat’. 2) Address proof of the Parents (i.e. Self attested Photocopy of: Electricity Bill / Telephone Bill / Ration Card). 3) One p.p. size colored photos of each: Child, Father and Mother (with names addresses written behind). 4) Mark Sheet of Class last attended (attested photocopy). 5) Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from school last attended (attested photocopy). (Mark Sheet & T.C. may be given later as mentioned in Admission procedures, if not currently available.)
OR the form for APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION may be downloaded and printed from our website under link “ADMISSIONS” -> “Forms & Formats”. The printed form must be filled and signed by the legal Parent of the Child. The above mentioned Registration Fee may be deposited in the A/C of ‘Sanskar International School™’, A/C No.5183030000053 at any CBS branch of Syndicate Bank or a Bank Demand Draft (DD) in favor of ‘Sanskar International School™’, payable at Dehradun may be made.
Both the APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION & the deposit slip or DD along with the self attested photo copies of all the above mentioned documents must then be sent to the school office by speed post on the following address-:

In case the formalities for registration are being done via Postage, the online registration form on our website should be filled & sent, also. Please note that the details of the bank Demand Draft or date of depositing Registration Fee in our Syndicate Bank A/C No.5183030000053 should be clearly mentioned in the space provided. After Registration, your ward will have to appear for a simple Written Entrance Test on a date given by the school.
Syllabus for Entrance Test for each class is available in the school office OR may be noted/printed from our website under links “ADMISSIONS” -> “Entrance Test Syllabus”.

Q10. Is there any Admission/Entrance Test ? What are the requirements for Admission of Resident Students ?
All Resident Children between Classes K.G. & 10th are admitted on the basis of their past performance and Entrance Test & Interview results and admission to Class 11th is sought on the basis marks obtained in the 10th Board Examinations but the final decision and sole discretion to give admission & allot streams lie with the School Authorities. However, provisional admission will be granted to your Ward, subject to an undertaking given by you on a school format. Also, your ward will have to appear for a formal Entrance Test & Interview so that the School may assess his/her areas of weakness/ strength. Therefore you are requested to bring your ward prepared for the Entrance Test (Entrance Test Syllabus). The Session for all classes except Class 11th will commences in the first week of April every year therefore you are requested to bring your ward in the last week of March. However, students of Class 11th must reach latest by 9.00 am on the working day preceding the first day of commencement of school after Summer Vacations (i.e. during the second week of July) ; to fulfill all the formalities. The exact date may be enquired on office Telephone Nos. : 0135-2665466/67/68/69.
Kindly note that if you wish to admit and leave your Ward in the hostel, immediately, and avoid the botheration of travelling to and fro again then you are requested to bring, initially, the available documents (Documents Required) in support of his/her appearing or passing the previous Class or Board(like the Mark Sheet, T.C. ,School Leaving Certificate, etc), Date of Birth (Issued by a Competent Authority recognized by the Govt.) and Fee (Fee Structure) (Admission Fee, Security, Annual Fee, Imprest as per current year’s Fee Structure) vide Demand Draft in favour of ‘Sanskar International School™’ payable at DEHRADUN or CASH. Also, bring properly filled and signed Forms(Forms & Formats) and Articles(List of Articles) . Remaining documents, formalities, etc. may be fulfilled within a month from the date of provisional admission or commencement of the Session; whichever falls later (Dates & Deadlines).

Q12. What about Time, Date and Venue for the Entrance Test?
Ans. After registration you will be intimated the time, date and venue for the entrance test through Mail/Email/Telephone Or you can call our school office for the same. See Answer to Q 10.

Q13. Is there any easier/direct way to register ones Child/Ward ?
Ans. Yes, the Registration can be done as follows:
Registration Form can be downloaded from our website, filled/completed (without cuttings or errors) and signed duly by the legal Parent of the Child. This Form along with a sum of Rs. 500/-for India Or $ 100/-for Abroad as Registration Fee + Postage and all the Documents (see Documents Required under ADMISSIONS) must be sent to the School Address ( see contact us ) through registered speed post Or courier. The payments must be made vide D.D. in favor of ‘Sanskar International School™’ Dehradun. Detail of payment made should be mentioned in the Registration Form. See Answer to Q 05.

Q15. When can parents meet the Principal?
Ans. Anytime, during office, with prior appointment.

Q16. What are the school timing?
Ans. The School has separate Day Schedules for Summers and Winters. The Summer Schedule starts with the assembly at 7:40 AM. 1st bell of the day rings at 7:35 AM for all to assemble. However the staff members reach the school 10 minutes before the 1st bell. After the Assembly all the staff members and the students move to their respective classrooms. The 1st period for serious study commences with a bell at 8:05 AM . We have four schools of 35 minutes each before a break of 15 minutes commencing at 10:25 AM; followed by five schools, after which the school gets over at 1:30 PM. The Winter Schedule is similar to that of Summer except that it commences 20 minutes late i.e. 1st bell for the day rings at 7:55AM and the school gets over at 1:50PM.
